Off-white powder for antimicrobial solution containing 800 mg amoxicillin trihydrate in each gram,

Amoxicillin trihydrate (D(-)-a-amino-p- hydroxy benzyl penicillin) is a member of p-Lactam group antibiotics and is a semi-penicillin. When orally administered, it is almost completely absorbed easily in the digestion channel of the target animal and distributed to the whole body. After being absorbed, it is distributed through the muscles, liver, kidney and urinary tract. In case of inflammation, its passage through cerebrospinal liquid barriers, biologic membranes and blood -brain barriers or blood barriers, increases.
It is shown that amoxicillin is active in vitro against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria.
SENSITIVE BACTERIA: Penicillin sensitive staphylococcus and streptococcus strains, Bacillus anthracis, Actinomyces sp., many Corynebacterium sp,, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes, some anaerobes (Clostridium sp., Fusobacterium sp., some Bacteroides sp.), some gram negative aerobes (Borrelia sp. Leptospira sp., Actinobacillus sp., Haemophilus sp., Moraxella sp., Pasteuralla sp.).
INTERMEDIATE SENSITIVE BACTERIA DUE TO ACQUIRED IMMUNITY
Campylobacter sp., Enterococci, Proteus mirabilis. Salmonella sp.
Resistant Bacteria: Bacteroides fragilis, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Citrobacter sp., Enterobacter sp., Klebsiella sp., other Proteus sp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Serratia sp., Yersinia enterocolitica.
It causes rapidly developing bactericide effect on sensitive bacteria by disrupting the cell wall. Amoxicillin is bound to the serum proteins by 17%. With the excretion of the unchanged drug, it is eliminated through kidneys as inactive penicillic acid (10-25%). Eliminated through renal excretion,
glomerular filtration and tubular excretion. The elimination half-life of Amoxicillin is 1.13 hours in birds.

Amoxicillin is used to treat systemic and local infections in broiler chicken and turkeys caused by gram positive and gram negative bacteria within its spectrum

It is used orally to treat broiler chicken and turkeys by adding to the drinking water. If it is not recommended otherwise by the veterinarian, the daily dose is 20 mg/kg live weight./day. It is used for 3-5 days. Daily dose can be given once a day. Dosage is practically calculated as follows:

It is sold at veterinary clinics, private animal hospitals and pharmacies with veterinarian prescription. (VHR- Veterinary Doctor Prescription)
