Bio-Tylos Powder for Oral Solution is a fine, light yellow colored, easy flowing powder and contains 1000g tylosin tartrate in package of 1000g

Tylosin is an antibacterial within macrolide group. In sensitive microorganisms, it shows bacteriostatic effect by inhibiting the protein synthesis.
However, it has bactericide effect at high concentrations.
On its antibacterial spectrum, there are microplasma species, gram positive and gram negative microorganisms. Its antibacterial spectrum contains mainly Gram-positive (Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Bacillus, Corynebacterium, Actinomyces, Clostridia, Erysipelothrix), it also contains Pasteurella, Sphaerophorus necrophorus, Campylobacter, Fusobacterium, Chlamydia and spirochetes. It is especially effective on Mycoplasma (PPLO) species. Resistant strains may be composed between staph, aureus strains.
When orally administered it is easily and rapidly absorbed and distributed to the body. It is well absorbed through the proximal section of the digestion system. Consequently, the therapeutic blood level is achieved quickly. It passes through respiration system and milk at levels couple of times higher than plasma intensity. It is mainly eliminated through ballast and partly through urine.

Bio-Tylos Powder for Oral Solution is used to treat respiration infections in chicken and turkeys caused by sensitive bacteria. Mainly it is used for Mycoplasmosis (CRD), Leptospirosis and contagious sinus infections in turkeys.
